DIY Light Box for Product Photography

Most of have thought about it, we know we should be taking photos of our products regardless of how simple or complex they are. Having catalog quality digital photos on file means you can feel proud to send them to a client, paste them on a website, or use them to market to editors of magazines. Building a light box is super simple, quick and cheap. Foamcore board can be found at numerous places, I get my custom sizes from a friend of mine that owns a printing/sign company. He rips a piece of Foamcore on his tablesaw to any spec I want.

There are numerous simple to make step by step articles on the internet to refer to. The mechanics are very basic, tape, and a razor knife, that's it!

If you have your board precut, all you need to do is assemble with tape.

These lights are available at Home Depot.

Now you're ready to start taking quality photos. Here is a link to the site I pulled these photos from, studiolighting
